F&H Is Lead Designer For Reconstruction of I-85 Design-Build Team
The Joint venture team of Austin Bridge/Balfour Beatty (Austin/BBII Team) with F&H as Lead Designer has won the Design-Build project for the Reconstruction of I-85 in Davidson County, NC. The project consists of the reconstruction of a 3.6 mile section of the existing I-85 four-lane divided facility. The facility will be widened to an eight-lane divided, full control access facility from North of NC 150 to just North of I-85. F&H/Raleigh’s Steve Whitley, PE, who has spent the past two decades designing and managing similar projects (including the I-77 Widening Design-Build project in Mecklenburg County, NC and the I-240 Widening in Buncombe County, NC) will be the Design Project Manager for the Design-Build team.
